Morrinsville Tanks WWTP upgrade

The contract was for the supply and installation of two 200m3 CST, glass fused to steel tanks for the the storage of untreated sludge.  These were constructed on site by SEL, including the supply and installation of access ladders and platforms.  Service Engineers Ltd was also responsible for the design, fabrication and installation of a sludge handling conveyor system that transported dewatered sludge away from the centrifuge to waste bins for off site disposal.

 

Service Engineers Ltd undertook the installation of all associated pumps, pipework, valves (to and from the sludge storage tanks and into the dewatering plant), all mechanical plant within the dewatering building; including compressors, polymer dosing system, centrifuge and air and water lines.  The project was undertaken within the existing WWTP, requiring SEL to work within the day-to-day running of the existing plant.  The contract was completed on time and within budget, with no H&S incidents.
