Service Engineers' contract covered the following: design and build of ancillary systems for the co-generation upgrade (including stainless and plastic piping systems for digester and natural gas); selection, supply and installation of Gas blowers, boilers, gas dryer, pumps, etc. The plant, including power generation, remained operational during the entire contract. Also included in the contract was the removal and disposal of the existing 4 x 2.5 MW Mirlees Gensets (approx 120 t each). Much of the work was carried out in 'Zone 1' hazardous zoning. All metallic lines were fabricated and installed to ASME codes. Service Engineers' largest subcontractor was Alstom (electrical and instrumentation) with a value of approximately $500,000.
